  • A man was gunned down outside an apartment complex early this morning in La Vista. As of yet, they have not identified him and are looking for a white car with several black males in it. Any leads should be reported to the La Vista police.
  • A group of 50 presidential scholars handed Bush a letter urging the president to cease human rights violations inflicted on detainees, especially at Guantanomo Bay Prisons. The president responded with his usual “we don’t use torture”. Three of the students to sign were from the Omaha/Council Bluffs area.
  • The next season of American Idol will have some of its auditions here in Omaha. The auditions, tentatively scheduled for August 10, will air when the season hits airwaves next January. Karaoke bars in Omaha watch out as people start to hone their skills!
