Last night, hundreds of people from all over the Omaha Metro area showed up to a small group of bars around town to eat cheap wings and play some crazy NTN trivia. These few already know what the rest of you must: Showdown is the most cut-throat of all trivia games, and if you can handle the potential for bar fights and drunken shouting, it’s the game for you! And if you head to Buffalo Wild Wings like so many of us already do, you also get cheap wings. Great deal and a great time!

I sound like I’m kidding about all of this, but last night alone things almost got brutal as one contestant was “mysteriously” logged out of his game console while he was seriously controlling the game. With the beer specials, something like this just breeds discontent, and I’ve seen fights in the parking lot more times than I care to admit.

Okay, so the fights are usually when the Yankees are playing the Red Sox, and they’re usually verbal battles between drunken fans. Still.

Bottom line? If you’re a person who likes cheap beer, cheap (but good) wings, and the fun of trivia, Tuesday night in Omaha is for you!
